The church bells echoed softly through the city as guests filled the massive cathedral with smiles and excitement.
Everyone said it was the perfect wedding.
White roses covered the altar. Candles flickered beside the aisle. A violin played gently while Daniel stood waiting in his expensive black tuxedo, trying to hide the nervous sweat on his forehead.
Then the doors opened.
Emily appeared in a breathtaking white dress, holding her father’s arm as tears filled the eyes of everyone watching.
Daniel smiled.
But Emily didn’t smile back.
Something felt wrong.
As she reached the altar, the priest began the ceremony.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today—”
“Stop.”
The entire church froze.
Emily slowly turned toward Daniel, her breathing shaky.
“Say her name.”
Daniel blinked in confusion.
“What are you talking about?”
“The woman you’ve been hiding,” Emily said louder. “The one from the messages.”
Guests immediately began whispering.
Daniel forced an awkward laugh.
“Emily… this isn’t the time.”
Her eyes filled with tears.
“No,” she whispered. “Now is the perfect time.”
Her maid of honor looked horrified.
Daniel stepped closer carefully. “Please… let’s talk privately.”
But Emily suddenly pulled her hand away.
“I saw everything,” she shouted. “The deleted texts. The late-night calls. The hotel bookings.”
Gasps spread through the church.
Daniel’s mother slowly stood up from her seat.
“Daniel…?” she whispered.
Daniel looked trapped.
“It’s not what you think,” he muttered.
Emily’s voice cracked.
“Then tell everyone about the baby.”
Silence.
Absolute silence.
Daniel’s face turned pale instantly.
The guests stared at him in shock.
“What baby?” someone whispered.
Then suddenly—
The giant church doors opened again.
Everyone turned around.
A young woman stood there trembling, wearing a dark coat, tears running down her face.
And in her hand…
was an ultrasound photo.
The room exploded with whispers.
Emily looked directly at Daniel.
“Go ahead,” she said coldly. “Tell them who she is.”
The woman slowly walked toward the altar.
“I didn’t know he was getting married today,” she whispered through tears. “He told me he loved me.”
Daniel looked like he couldn’t breathe anymore.
The woman raised the ultrasound photo for everyone to see.
“And this…” she cried, “is his baby.”
Several guests covered their mouths in shock.
Daniel’s father sat down heavily, unable to speak.
Emily stared at Daniel with tears streaming down her face.
“You were really going to marry me,” she whispered, “while she was carrying your child?”
Daniel reached for her desperately.
“Emily, please… I made a mistake—”
“A mistake?” she screamed. “You lied to BOTH of us!”
The church fell silent again.
Then slowly…
Emily removed her wedding ring.
Her hands shook as she looked at it one last time.
“I loved you more than anything,” she whispered.
Then she dropped the ring onto the marble floor.
CLINK.
The sound echoed through the entire cathedral.
Daniel broke down instantly.
But Emily turned away.
Without another word, she lifted her dress slightly and walked back down the aisle alone while the guests moved aside in stunned silence.
The violin stopped playing.
The flowers no longer mattered.
The dream wedding was over before it ever began. 💔
