Sitting in her brightly lit kitchen, a mother dropped a heavy stack of legal and medical paperwork onto the table. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at her young, innocent daughter standing across from her. “We can’t afford your treatment anymore, sweetheart,” she sobbed, holding the girl’s arms. The young girl looked at her mother with deep, mature eyes and whispered softly, “Then stop paying for it, mom. Let me go.” The mother’s heart shattered into a million pieces. Pulling her into a tight, desperate embrace, she cried, “I will never stop fighting for you! Not ever!”
