Standing in the middle of a massive, modern shopping mall, a pregnant woman in a hospital gown wept, pleading, “My husband left. I have nothing. Please, be human.” A female security officer with crossed arms approached her with total contempt. “I will not have this scene in my establishment,” she said coldly. Suddenly, a distinguished older man in a judge’s robe stepped through the crowd. He placed a hand on the crying woman’s shoulder, looked firmly at the officer, and declared, “She saved my daughter’s life. You will treat her with respect.” The officer’s expression of authority vanished into pure shock as she realized who she was standing against.
