The arena of Rome had never gone silent before.
Thousands of people packed the marble stadium, screaming as the giant black war horse destroyed everything in its path. Soldiers were thrown aside like toys. The beast’s golden armor glistened under the burning sun as it roared and kicked against the chains holding it back.
“No one can tame him!” a guard shouted.
The Roman general, Marcus Valerius, stood from his throne with anger in his eyes.
“Kill the horse before it kills more men!”
But before the soldiers could attack, a small voice echoed through the arena.
“Wait…”
The crowd turned.
A little boy, no older than ten, walked barefoot across the sand. His clothes were torn, his face covered in dust, yet he showed no fear.
People laughed nervously.
“Is this child insane?”
The horse suddenly stopped raging.
Its dark eyes locked onto the boy.
Step by step, the child walked closer while the soldiers backed away in terror. The beast lowered its head, breathing heavily. One wrong move would mean death.
The general gripped his sword.
But then…
The boy slowly raised his hand and touched the horse’s face.
Instant silence.
The raging beast closed its eyes peacefully.
The arena exploded with shock.
“Impossible…”
The horse knelt before the child.
Even the soldiers stepped back in fear.
General Marcus stared at the boy carefully… until he noticed something hidden beneath the ripped sleeve on the child’s arm.
A mark.
A black dragon symbol burned into his skin.
Marcus’ face turned pale instantly.
“That mark…” he whispered.
His sword slipped from his hand.
“No… it cannot be.”
Years ago, an ancient prophecy warned Rome about a child carrying the Dragon Mark — a chosen one destined to either save the empire… or destroy it forever.
The emperor had ordered every marked child executed at birth.
Everyone believed the last one died years ago.
But now the impossible stood before them.
Alive.
The boy looked up slowly.
“Why are you afraid of me?” he asked softly.
Before Marcus could answer, the horse suddenly roared toward the sky.
The ground began to shake.
And beneath the arena…
something ancient awakened. 🔥
