A devastating multi-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Sunday morning has left at least five people dead and approximately 60 others hospitalized. The accident, which occurred in the westbound lanes near Mount Pleasant Township, involved a tour bus, multiple semi-trucks, and several passenger vehicles.
Authorities report that the tour bus lost control on a steep downhill curve, crashing into the center barrier before being struck by two tractor-trailers and another vehicle. The collision caused massive damage and closed the Turnpike in both directions for several hours, delaying emergency response teams and causing backups for miles.
