Former U.S. President Joe Biden, 82, recently underwent Mohs surgery to remove skin cancer, his spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Beast. The procedure involves carefully removing thin layers of skin until no traces of cancer remain.
Speculation about his health grew after Biden was seen over Labor Day weekend in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, with a noticeable scar stretching from his forehead toward the back of his head. The evening before, he appeared at a local ice cream shop wearing a baseball cap to conceal the area. Just days earlier, on August 22, he had been photographed with a bandage covering the same spot.
This incident represents the latest health challenge for Biden, who is also battling aggressive prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. The diagnosis was revealed in May, after doctors discovered a nodule on his prostate.
