PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – Multiple people were injured in a significant seven-car crash on Interstate 5 Tuesday afternoon, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVFR). The incident caused major traffic delays and prompted a rapid emergency response from first responders in the area.
Around 4 p.m., TVFR received the call reporting that a car had flipped onto its roof near the northbound Nyberg Street off-ramp. Initial reports indicated that the driver was trapped inside the vehicle, unable to exit on their own. As Tualatin police arrived at the scene, the situation was found to be even more serious than first thought. Multiple vehicles were involved, and another person was trapped in a second car that had landed on its side.
