George Wade, a 42-year-old man from North Yorkshire in the UK, first noticed that something wasn’t quite right with his health in March of last year. At first, the symptoms seemed vague and easy to dismiss, and like many people, George tried to find a simple explanation for what he was feeling. He had just returned from a day out at the Cheltenham races, a lively event full of noise, excitement, and, of course, plenty of drinking. Because of that, he convinced himself that the strange sensations he was experiencing were nothing more than the aftereffects of consuming a little too much alcohol.
